Looking for individuals to join our growing team of assistant professional organizers.
Organizers should enjoy working with people and have patience in assisting those who require their services. In this field, neatness counts as does attention to detail and the ability to understand the needs and wishes of diverse clients, some with chronic disorganization issues. Good communication skills are critical.
The ability to work well with others is extremely important, especially with systematic planning and coordinating the efforts of others.
Work is usually done in a residential setting but could be done in commercial settings.
Organizers will work with their clients to declutter, create systems and develop habits that lead to a more organized life.
Organizers may be in a situation where they need to clean spaces prior to organizing the space.
Organizers are considered independent contractors. Hours worked are to be submitted as an invoice at the conclusion of each job. Receipts must be included for any merchandise reimbursements.
Organizers should not expect consistency of jobs. There may be many back to back jobs one week and few to none the next week.
Organizers can expect a maximum of 4-5 hours per day when working on a job, depending on the job. Some jobs require less hours per day but unlikely more than 5 hours a day.
The classification of the job will depend on the number of days per week. (Moving/relocating vs decluttering/organizing) Moving requires more consistently scheduled days per week.
